Children can travel alone as UM passengers (Unaccompanied Minors).


 

FORMALITIES FOR THE SUPERVISION OF UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN


Depending on the airline company and the age of the child, assistance is provided by the airline from check-in. They will be supervised during the flight, escorted out of the plane and handed over to the person in charge of picking them up on arrival.


On the day of departure, kindly go directly to your company check-in desk at least 1h30 before the take-off. The reception staff will explain the procedure to obtain a special UM pouch, which the child must keep throughout the trip.




UM POUCH

The UM pouch will contain the following items:

  • Ticket.
  • ID papers (National ID card or passport).
  • Travel file for Unaccompanied Minor.
  • Identity sheet of the person responsible for picking up the child on arrival (This person must carry an identity document).
  • Authorization to leave the country for travel abroad.
