Ibiza, the island of all pleasures…

More information

Nicknamed "the white island" and renowned for its festive spirit, Ibiza is also a place of rest and serenity. Between land and sea, turquoise water and coves, the island is a real picture postcard setting. Natural and cosmopolitan, you will literally fall under its spell.

Ibiza is one of the largest islands of the Balearic archipelago, off the Spanish coast. After being settled by different communities (the Phoenicians, Romans, Greeks, Muslims and even the British) and coveted by pirates, the island became Spanish. In 1990, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its culture and biodiversity.

The main town of the same name is very popular today. Perched on a hill and protected by ramparts, it overlooks the turquoise sea and the natural park of Ses Salines. Brimming with history, the city offers passers-by a truly atypical setting. Walking through Dalt Vila town centre, you will discover a magnificent architectural complex including the Cathedral and the Archaeological Museum.

The fortress is flanked with several bastions, the most famous of which is the Portal Nou, which takes you to the famous Reina Sofia park. From Portal de ses Taules you can continue to the famous Plaça de Vila, paved with ancient, time worn stones and lined with restaurants and craft shops. From the heights of the city the view of the harbour and surrounding area is simply stunning! Of course, you can’t go to Ibiza without visiting the site of Puig de Molins, a necropolis of more than 3,000 tombs and a wonderful testimony of Phoenician-Punic culture.

Ibiza is also an untamed island with rural Mediterranean landscapes. The fragrance of the trees and shrubs make the forest walk a wonderful experience. Rich in flora and fauna, the island abounds with almond trees, lizards bathing in the sun and thousands of birds, such as Eleonora's Falcon or Audouin's Gull...

In the four corners of the island, the markets of Ibiza are each more attractive than the other, to the delight of tourists. Almost all the products come from the island and you can find real treasures with an abundance of typical souvenirs. In a friendly, cosmopolitan atmosphere under the Hispanic sun, the markets are real places of exchange, encounters and discoveries.

The island has kept its traditions while opening up new horizons... Ibiza is also a festive destination where the bars and nightclubs won’t go unnoticed. During the high season (from June to September), the greatest electro artists and DJs from all over the world come to the island to play. If you enjoy going out, parties on the beach, music and meeting people, Ibiza is the ideal place for a vacation. Famous night clubs like the Pacha, the Amnesia or Es Paradis await you, as well as the best sangrias in the beach bars ...
