Exploring Warsaw’s History

A trip to Warsaw begins with immersing yourself in its history. As you stroll through the Old Town, art and architecture enthusiasts will be delighted! The Old Town was reconstructed after World War II using the 18th-century paintings of the Italian artist Bernardo Bellotto, known as Canaletto, as models. This reconstruction earned the city a UNESCO World Heritage designation in 1980.

Another must-see in downtown Warsaw is the Royal Castle, with its throne room, council chamber, and more.

Finally, venture a bit further to explore the lovely Łazienki Park, home to various animals like squirrels and peacocks—a true delight!

Warsaw: A Capital with a cultural focus

One essential activity during a stay in Warsaw is visiting the Palace of Culture and Science! Not only is this a place for entertainment with its numerous theaters, museums, cafes, and cinemas, but it also offers a fantastic view of the city. This is an experience not to be missed, so book your flight soon!

Another museum to visit is the National Museum in Warsaw, renowned for its sculptures and an impressive collection of around 800,000 artworks by Polish and international artists.

In addition to being a city that will please art lovers, Warsaw is also a capital that will delight food enthusiasts.

Did you know? Polish cuisine includes hearty dishes that warm you on cold days. Among them is żurek, a soup with mushrooms and sausages served not in a bowl but in a bread loaf—quite unique! For a sweet treat, try kolaczki, pastries filled with fruit jam.
